Synopsis

92 patients with 125 forearm fractures were randomized to receive fracture fixation with one of two devices: the limited contact dynamic compression plate or the Point Contact Fixator. Over an average duration of follow-up of 22 months, no significant difference between the two groups was found in terms of operative time, time to union, callus formation, pain, or functional outcome.
