Change is hard. Leading change is even harder. We originally published this article in peak of the first waves of COVID-19 when information was evolving rapidly—and so much remained unknown. Now, over 18 months later, leading change, becomes has even greater relevance. With multiple waves behind us the same questions remain. How do we emerge stronger from this pandemic? How do we prepare for the next normal? Resetting for growth post-COVID-19 will require extraordinary change efforts, led by extraordinary people. It seems getting it right begins with understanding what most of us get wrong.
