Synopsis
27 patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries were randomized to receive ACL reconstruction with or without platelet rich plasma (PRP) in the patellar tendon harvest site. At 6 months, the PRP group had a significantly smaller patellar tendon gap area than the control group as measured on MRI.
