90 patients with a spinal pathology scheduled for an open posterior lumbar fusion with pedicle screw implantation were randomized to receive screw placement performed using a novel stereoscopic guidance system (FLASH Navigation; n=45) or a 3D fluoroscopy-based navigation system (n=45).
