75 patients following acute Achilles tendon rupture repair were randomized to one of three postoperative weightbearing protocols: restricted weightbearing to 7 weeks and no ankle mobilization exercises (LWB+IMMOB), restricted weightbearing to 7 weeks with ankle mobilization exercises (LWB+MOB), or complete weightbearing by 5 weeks with ankle mobilization exercises (EWB+MOB).
