Comparison of high-flexion knee prostheses .
Functional outcome and range of motion of high-flexion posterior cruciate-retaining and high-flexion posterior cruciate-substituting total knee prostheses. A prospective, randomized study
J Bone Joint Surg Am. 2009 Apr;91(4):753-60250 patients receiving bilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA) were randomized to receive a high-flexion posterior cruciate-retaining prosthesis in one knee and a high-flexion posterior cruciate-substituting prosthesis in the contralateral knee. This study aimed to compare range of motion and functional outcomes of these two high flexion prostheses. Following a 2 year post-operative examination, there were no significant differences between these two prostheses.
