90 pediatric patients undergoing lower-extremity orthopaedic surgery with caudal epidural nerve blocks were randomized to one of three groups: (1) adjuvant intravenous dexamethasone, (2) adjuvant caudal epidural dexamethasone, and (3) placebo (saline).
