Synopsis
262 patients scheduled for total knee arthroplasty were randomized to either periarticular infiltration (PAI) analgesia or a femoral nerve block. Patients were assessed for pain, analgesic consumption, and functional measures over the first 2 days postoperatively, as well as patient-reported function and quality of life at 6-week follow-up.
