Synopsis
64 patients scheduled for total hip arthroplasty were randomized to either a computer-navigated "femur first" technique or conventional free-hand technique. The purpose of this study was to compare gait speed and hip range of motion during gait at 6 months and 1-year postoperatively. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups in any outcome measure.
