Synopsis

Nine randomized controlled trials were included in this meta-analysis to investigate the effectiveness of injury prevention programs in reducing the incidence of ankle injuries among soccer (football) players. Pooled analysis demonstrated a significantly lower incidence of ankle injuries among those who had participated in the injury prevention programs compared to control groups who had not.
