Synopsis
80 patients requiring arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were randomized to either receive surgical treatment with subacromial decompression or without subacromial decompression. After surgery, patients were required to have the operative limb placed in a sling for 3 weeks, followed by a 16-week rehabilitation program.
