Synopsis
17 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included in this meta-analysis in order to assess the efficacy of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) in reducing pain and enhancing function and global improvement in patients with shoulder tendinopathy. Findings indicated outcomes were improved when LLLT was used alone and as an adjunct treatment. Active shoulder abduction was not benefited by treatment.
