Synopsis
69 patients with a surgically fixed closed diaphyseal tibial fracture were randomized to receive either strontium ranelate or a placebo. The purpose was to evaluate the effect of strontium ranelate on fracture healing and levels of procollagen N-terminal nucleopeptide (PINP).
