Synopsis
100 patients scheduled to receive primary, unilateral, tricompartmental cemented TKA due to primary osteoarthritis, were randomly assigned into 1 of 2 groups (a silicone gel or placebo group) to determine if the application of silicone gel to surgical scars had an effect on postoperative scar pain and pruritus, 1 year after surgery completion.
