Synopsis

This meta-analysis identified 6 studies that compared open Bankart repair versus arthroscopic repair with suture anchors as treatment for post-traumatic anterior instability of the shoulder. A total of 501 patients were identified from these 6 studies. Results from this analysis indicated that there is no significant difference between arthroscopic and open repair.
