Synopsis
99 patients (100 hips) were randomized to receive treatment with nonstretchable silk tape or with a perforated and stretchable cloth tape over the postoperative dressing. At the first dressing change, patients were observed for blisters (presence, number, size, and location). The risk of blister development was significantly higher with the silk tape compared with the cloth tape.
