Synopsis
50 hallux limitus patients (ages 29 - 69) after surgery were enrolled to receive nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, orthotics, and instructions for a home exercise program as a control. The experimental group was additionally treated with dynamic splinting for first MTJ extension to study the device's efficacy in increasing range of motion.
