Synopsis

18 patients with primary patellar dislocation were randomized to receive tape bandage immobilization or cylinder cast immobilization after 1 week of dorsal splinting. The results of the study indicate that tape bandage immobilization causes better long term knee function (Lysholm Knee Scoring Scale) than cylinder cast immobilization.
