Synopsis
149 patients (168 heels) with chronic plantar fasciitis were randomized to receive extracorporeal shockwave treatment or conservative treatment consisting of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, orthotics, physical therapy, an exercise program and/or a local cortisone injection.
