Synopsis

90 patients undergoing posterior lumbar arthrodesis for a degenerative spinal condition were randomized to the use of a post-operative lumbar corset or to a control group which did not use a corset. The results from this 2 year follow-up demonstrated no added benefits with the use of a lumbar corset following arthrodesis.
