Synopsis

78 cases of medium-sized (1.5 to 3-cm) full-thickness rotator cuff tears were randomized to undergo arthroscopic repair by use of a modified mattress locking stitch (MMLS) or by use of a simple stitch. Arthroscopic repair with the use of MMLS was found to have better patient satisfaction scores and radiographic repair integrity in comparison over simple stitch repair.
