Synopsis
80 patients of any age scheduled to undergo cemented hip or knee arthroplasty were randomized to the removal of drain at 6 or 24 hours after surgery. No difference in the hemoglobin drop, allogenic transfusion rates, length of hospital stay, complication rate or in rehabilitation process was seen between the groups.
