323 patients with compressed cervical nerve root and symptomatic radiculopathy, scheduled for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) by the Smith-Robinson technique, were randomized to receive a pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) stimulation or none after the surgery.
