Synopsis
Thirty patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomized to receive either isometric quadriceps training with knee extension (n=15) or isometric quadriceps training with knee flexion (n=15). Outcomes such as pain and knee function were measured using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis (WOMAC), respectively after 4 weeks.
