Synopsis
Sixty patients undergoing surgery for common hand conditions such as carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, or ganglion cyst excision, were randomized to either the shared-decision-making group (n=30) or standard care (n=30). Primary outcomes measured were pain interference and intensity using the patient-reported outcomes measurement information system (PROMIS-IS) at 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks....
