Synopsis
One hundred and seven patients undergoing an arthroscopic subacromial decompression (ASD) surgery were randomized (in a 2:1:1 ratio) to receive either sucrose acetate isobutyrate extended-release (SABER) bupivacaine (n=53), SABER-placebo (n=25), or bupivacaine HCl (n=29) to minimize post-operative pain and opioid consumption.
