Five randomized controlled trials including 1034 children with musculoskeletal injuries were included in this meta-analysis comparing oral ibuprofen to other oral analgesics. The primary outcomes of interest included the change in Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain scores, the proportion of patients requiring additional analgesia, and the proportion of patients achieving adequate analgesia.
