Synopsis

Two hundred and fifty seven patients undergoing foot and ankle surgery were randomized to receive a dilute povidone-iodine soak and scrub (n=128) followed by a standard 2-step antiseptic skin preparation or the standard 2-step antiseptic skin preparation alone (n=129).
