Synopsis

151 patients scheduled for a primary unilateral TKA for osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis were randomized to receive a single 2g dose of oral TXA (2 hrs pre-operation), two doses of oral TXA (2 hrs pre-op, 4 hrs post-op) or multiple doses of oral TXA (2 hrs pre-op, 4, 10 16 hrs post-op).
