Synopsis

80 patients with plantar fasciitis were randomized to local injection of either platelet-rich plasma or corticosteroid (methylprednisolone). Patients were assessed for pain and functional scores at 1, 3, and 6 months after injection. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups in patient-reported outcome measures of pain and function.
