Synopsis
41 patients scheduled for volar plate fixation of a distal radius fracture were randomized to two different methods for postoperative analgesia. In one group, patients were administered a pre-incision injection of bupivacaine, and then an injection of liposomal bupivacaine at the end of the procedure.
